In an earlier interview, Babu revealed that he met Fridah during their first year at the University of Nairobi where he was pursuing a degree in Actuarial Science and Fridah a degree in Economics.
He described his first meeting with Fridah as ‘love at first’ sight and he had to swoop in before someone snatched her up.
“It was love at first sight; I just saw her and knew she was the one. She is beautiful, intelligent and I knew I had to get her before other men cast their eyes on her.”Babu told Nairobi News.

He made the right choice with Fridah as her intelligence was crucial in helping Babu Owino clinch the Embakasi East MP seat as she was on the campaign trail reaching out to the women in the constituency. And maybe she will soon become the first lady if at all Babu’s plan of becoming the president in 2027 comes to pass.
“I have my plan well. In 2017 I knew I will become the Embakasi East MP, 2022 my plan is to go for Governor Nairobi and 2027 I will be your president. So zoea raisi wako mapema.” Babu said on 10 over 10.
