Beyonce stole my song - Bishop Deya claims

Bishop Gilbert Deya has captured headlines in the country with accustaions of child trafficking, sexual assault, extradition and news of him being thrown in Kamiti Prison over child trafficking.

The controversial preacher is now back into the news after claiming that Beyoncé stole his song.

The song he claims that Beyonce stole was ‘Say Yes’ by Michelle Williams where she features former Destiny’s Child groupmates Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland.

The song was inspired by a popular Nigerian gospel tune called ‘When Jesus Says Yes’ but Deya claims that he was the original singer and Beyonce took the song from him.

“I am an author and I have also written very good songs. If you go to YouTube you will see a song that Beyonce took called, ‘When Jesus says yes’. That’s my song.” He said during an interview on Mseto.

The controversial preacher said that he has not yet taken legal action but is now considering it.

“I shall think of that (taking legal action), I have written 200 songs and they are really westernized,” he added.
