Big Kev had been battling a brain tumour that rendered him blind after a life-saving operation in India.

“It’s dark, very dark. Not all of us can relate but it is like being in a small dark room with no Windows and no doors. I can't remember the last time I saw my face in a mirror, and I meet people every day whom I hope to get to see soon…” read a part of his post on Facebook describing his state.

Since leaving India, Big Kev was admitted to the Nairobi hospital where celebrities like Kidum and President Uhuru Kenyatta paid him a visit.

The Carnivore fund-raising dinner raised Sh7.2 Million Kshs and it helped him fight the tumour with renewed vigour but he sadly succumbed last Saturday.

On Wednesday 2nd August 2017 family and friends attended a fundraising and prayer service at Nairobi Baptist Church at 5.00 PM a day after a prayer meeting was held at the same venue on Tuesday.

Today, 3rd August 2017 a memorial service has been held at Nairobi Chapel on Ng’ong road to celebrate the life of the True Blaq C.E.O.
