This is because it had become hard for her to balance acting and hosting and so she had to make a tough choice. Acting was her choice as she has a greater passion for acting than hosting.
“It was overwhelming for me because of just trying to find that balance. Niko acting set and I’m getting late for work, it’s eating into my character and I end up doing a terrible job there. I end up getting there (work), being flashed and not ready. I have always wanted to be an actor so hosting kind of comes after,” She disclosed on Talk Central.
While she worked at Ebru TV, she was also working on the set of Monica, a new TV series alongside former Tahidi High actor cum model Ephy Saint and other industry greats like Sision Torome, Joyce Maina and Raymond Ofula.

After teasing fans for a few months, we now have a first look at the Monica Series which honestly looks very promising.
Brenda plays the role of ‘Monica’ a woman born in the ghetto who is trying to hustle her way up the ranks. But her rise to the top doesn’t come easy as there is scheming, violence and infidelity. But away from her quest for riches and power, Monica also has a childhood love that seems to ground her.
