Last Saturday Burna Boy made a club appearance at Privee Westlands in conjuction with Remy Martin. The place was packed. With the ticket price as low as Ksh 1500, Privee, a club that can only host a total of 800 people was overflowing with Burna Boy's fans ready to cash in for the live show.
Thing's got ugly when the club management stopped admitting people to the rather auscipicous event. While those who were in got their money's worth, the rest didn't take it too lighty and KOT is on fire stating that Burna Boy called Kenyans peasants and that he performed from 4 am. Others said he didn't perform at all. (Sic)
But Sauti Sol'sDelvin Mudigi who is still nursing his broken leg was of a different opinion. He posted a video on Twitter lashing back at Kenyans for always being first to throw shade when they aren't doing much themselves.
"Burna Boy ashaenda, ashatengenza pesa, ashatengeneza hela in your country bana.." He says in an almost exasperated voice.
He posed the question to other celebrities asking why they don't make club appearances themselves and if Kenyans even know the difference between a full on show and a club appearance.
He called out to the Kenyan music industry to do more than what they are doing instead of going against the Nigerian sensation and for Kenyans to check themselves as he asks, "Iwejee?"
