Previously, Catherine has spoken about how Jacqy was the one who helped her get her iconic role of 'Celina'. Speaking to The Nation Catherine, Kamau explained how she landed the role of ‘Celina’.
Catherine Kamau pens down heartwarming message to cousin, 'Tina' of Mother-in-Law
“I got a phone call from my cousin (who plays Tina) that they wanted a girl who could dance. I remember I was getting ready for school that morning. I quickly dressed up and headed to the shoot. I did the role so well that the producer paid me a little more than I was to be paid. I was then told to build on the character Celina. I have worked so hard from an extra to the Celina you now know.”
Even though Catherine no longer acts in the show, she's still very close to Jacqy, after all, they're cousins. Catherine took to her Instagram to wish her friend and sister from another mister a happy birthday penning down a heartwarming post:
"Happy birthday to my first best friend , the person that taught me to hustle like a man , I owe you so much babe , you showed me the ropes , nurtured , housed and fed me sometimes , I love you Foi , we have been through so much , as we age we are keen to treasure and fight for those that really loved and valued us when we were nothing , and those that continue to stand with us . .... Happy birthday love ❤️ a.k.a "
