Nobody wanted to move with me to Radio Jambo- Mbusii

Radio Jambo's Presenter Mbusii and Jessy

Renowned Reggae Presenter Mbusii has disclosed that his colleagues were reluctant to move with him to Radio Jambo, after getting an offer that required him to tag along his co-host.

Speaking on Jessy Junction, Mbusii said that he first approached his them co-host Bonoko who declined his request before informing Lion (his currently Co-host), who was willing to risk it all and try on a new challenge at Radio Jambo.

Sisi bado ni mabeshte,” said Mbusii.

He added that stories that were making rounds on social media about his Salary at Radio Jambo were cooked with the figures being doubled.

Mbusii also went down the memory lane, remembering the days he used to get three thousand per month as a messenger at Ghetto Radio. This was at the early stages of his journey in the Radio industry.

The radio personality further stated that he got ushered into radio as a Traffic Updates reader, before his role was scraped off and got employed as Ghetto Radio’s office messenger for 2 years.

“Nilianza radio na Traffic Updates, show ya Asubuhi na Jioni, Nilikuwa najiita, Senior Deputy Police Inspector Francis Ng’ombe… after hapo nikakuwa Messenger for 2 and a half years. Walikuwa wananilipa three thousand. So after Maji Maji kukuja ndio akanipea nasafi ya Radio tena,” said Mbusii.
