Why Churchill turned down Raila and Uhuru’s request to attend his show at KICC

The King of Comedy explains

Speaking to Nairobi news, the comedian who has been on the comedy industry for the last 15 years revealed that both Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga requested to attend his 40 birthday party, but he ended up turning down both requests.

The same case was with Rao (Raila)” Churchill said.

Churchill purposely excluded the two from his invite list which includes family members, entrepreneurs, media personalities and politicians.

“With the situation still volatile in the country and as things seems to be, my event won’t be an ideal place for them because they will steal my moment,” Churchill explained.

The much-hyped show, that went down on Friday from 6pm was meant to celebrate the pioneer stand-up comedian’s 40th birthday

Politically, Uhuru and Raila have been at logger heads over the elections integrity which led to Raila boycotting the second election.  He earlier successfully challenged the first election at the Supreme Court.

Uhuru Kenyatta is set to be sworn into his second term in office next week Tuesday.

"About last night.... I've never been so happy..... Thank you so much for coming - the Love you showed us means a lot." reads Churchill post on Instagram
