Deputy President William Ruto was on Saturday night trolled after he sent out a tweet with a congratulatory message to Fatuma Zarika for her win against Catherine Phiri of Zambia.

In the tweet, the DP said that the country enjoyed Zarika’s tactical prowess throughout the fight.
“Congratulations to World Boxing Council (WBC) Super Bantamweight Champion Fatuma Zarika for flooring challenger Catherine Phiri to retain the title. We savour your exploits following a dogged, tactical and assured display. #NairobiFightNight,” read the DP’s tweet.

A section of Kenyans however, cast doubt on DP Ruto’s tweet with some claiming that he did not even watch the fight.
Others came to his defense saying that his congratulatory message was in order.
