In a tweet, Chibu said that he had been notified by his management that an energy drink had confirmed that it would make official its sponsorship with Wasafi Festival on Wednesday.
In his message, the Baikoko singer asked the energy drink company to produce enough stock, because revelers at Wasafi Festival would not only buy to drink, but they would also shower using the energy drink.
“Management imenambia kuna Kinywaji kesho kinaingia Rasmi onboard kama Mdhamini Mkuu wa ...Labda nikitaarifu tu kuwa kijiandae kutengeneza Storck za kutosha maana sio tu kunywewa, bali hata wengine watataka kukiogea kwa promo ntayokipa....” wrote Diamond who is currently in Canada.
Alikiba and Diamond working together
This comes a few days after the two singers who have been thought to be rivals for many years showed that they were willing to put aside their differences and work together, to grow the Tanzanian music industry.
The show of goodwill between Diamond and King Kiba started when the WCB boss requested him to perform at Wasafi Festival on November 24.
“Na kwa kudhihirisha kwamba hili ni Tamasha la Kwetu wote, Mpaka Kaka yangu ningependa kumuona anashiriki katika ” said Diamond.
Alikiba then responded a few days later saying that he would be out of the country launching his MoFaya energy drink, but he would want to be part of the event with MoFaya as the main sponsor of the event.
The management of both artistes then confirmed that they had already started talks on details of their partnership.
