Diamond Platnumz sued over Sh15 Million Debt

Tanzanian singer Naseeb Abdul Juma alias Diamond Platnumz has been dragged to court by his former Landlord identified as Maulidi Wandwe over Sh15 million debt (Tsh337Million).

Reports indicate that the WCB President has been sued over failure to paid his former landlord the money in question meant to repair the building that used house his Studio and offices in Sinza before shifting to Mbezi Beach in Dar es Salaam.

A number of local media houses in Tanzania, reported that Platnumz and his team left Wandwe's house in bad shape after shifting his studio and he was supposed to take care of the renovations cost amounting to Sh15 million. He failure to do so, is what forced the landlord to go the Courts.

The Jeje Hit maker was supposed to show up in Court on Monday, but unfortunately he was out of the country (Tanzania) forcing the Judge to postponed the hearing of the case to March 18th 2020.

"Mwanamuziki na mfanyabiashara Naseeb Juma (Diamond Platnumz), amefikishwa katika Mahakama ya Ardhi Mwananyamala Dar es Salaam, akishtakiwa kwa uharibifu wa mali zenye thamani ya TZS milioni 337 katika nyumba aliyokuwa amepanga kwa matumizi ya Studio Sinza kabla ya kuhamia Mbezi. Mmiliki wa nyumba hiyo, Maulidi Wandwe amesema fedha hizo ni pamoja na kodi ya mwaka mmoja ambayo mwanamuziki huyo anadaiwa. Wakili wa Diamond amesema mteja wake yuko nje ya nchi na hatarejea siku za karibuni kutokana na ugonjwa wa Corona. Kesi hiyo itaendelea tena Machi 18" reads an update from Global Publishers.

In 2018, Diamond shifted the WCB headquarters to the leafy suburbs of Mbezi Beach an act that is said to have costed him Sh36 million. The Headquarters houses his recording Label, Offices, Wasafi TV and Radio plus his video production company Zoom Extra under director Kenny.
