The show brought Dar es Salaam to a standstill
Nigerian star Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun aka Wizkid, Tiwa Savage and Rwanda’s Meddy were among musicians from outside Tanzania, who had the pleasure to bless the Wasafi festival stage with electrifying performances.
The WCB family in the company of other Bongo artistes pitched tent at the famous Posta grounds, Kijitonyama (Dar Es Salaam) to entertain revelers who had turned up to have a good time and celebrate the Wasafi grand finale.
Revelers started to stream into the venue of the event at around 2pm, as the performances kicked off earlier due to the long list of artistes.
Most of the musicians who showed up on stage, did not disappoint as they left the crowd singing along to their songs, despite being given limited time to interact with their fans.
Those who got the opportunity to be part of the history that was made in Dar es Salaam included;
TID, Juma Jux, Rayvanny, Mbosso, Twanga Pepeta, Orbit Makavali, Professor Jay, Chid Benz, TMK Wanaume, Queen Darleen, Hadija Kopa, Tiwa Savage, Meddy, Wizkid, Lava Lava, Innoss B, Younger Killer, Juma Nature, Ferroz, Dulla Makabila, Mzee Bwax, Madii, Dudu Baya, Chin Beez, Amber Lulu, Gigy Money, Nyoshi El Saadat, MB Doogy, Malow among others.
Wizkid took to the stage with Diamond, performing ‘Baba Lao’ together, before the Nigerian star spoke fondly of Diamond who he described as a brother for life.
There was no space at the venue due to the number of fans who had turned up for the event hence being accorded the Sold Out status.
Taking to Twitter, Wizkid expressed his gratitude towards all who showed up at the event saying “Tanzania! Crazy energy!! Thank u all for last night”
