The news was received with confusion by several of his fans and those of Wasafi Records. The WCB management later on confirmed that Rajab Abdul Kahali (Harmonize) had handed in a request to exit the top East African label.
Sallam SK said that the management had already received the request and would soon have a sit down before they give their statement on Harmonize’s move.
This followed changes made by Harmonize to his Instagram page getting rid of the words “Signed under WCB Wasafi” and replacing them with “East African Tz” and “#WCB4Life” Since then, the Kwangwaru hit maker has been rolling with his Konde Gang team.
Konde Boy’s exit has seen him distanced from day to day interactions with people from WCB including them not attending his recent “wedding” and also refraining from sharing any of his new music on their social media pages.
Over the weekend however, Diamond who was performing at his Wasafi Festival show in Iringa hinted that Konde Boy could have betrayed him.
In his words, Chibu Dangote said that he is the only President that has been chosen and accepted by the people and he was betrayed by Jeshi and they were still not able to topple him from his throne.
“Rais pekee ambaye wanainchi wamemchagua, nishasalitiwa na jeshi ila wakashindwa kunipindua,” said Diamond Platnumz.
Diamond’s sentiments leave many of us wondering whether they could have been directed at Harmonize and his team (JESHI) or not
Here is the catch; After Harmonize left WCB together with his team which he now calls Konde Gang, the singer has been using the #JESHI in almost all posts he shares on social media. The hashtag is also widely used by his team.
After reports of Harmonize’s exit from WCB broke, one of Diamond’s manager’s Mkubwa Fella hinted that Harmonize had been approached by people he didn’t mention and they had given him a deal that was too sweet to be real.
He further stated that the said individuals were trying to pit young Harmonize against Diamond, the man that made him the star he is today.
If this has any truth to it, and if Diamond’s words in Iringa were directed at Harmonize, then the fight seems to have picked up well.
