Popular actress sentenced to two years in prison

The actress had earlier caught the attention of Bahati.

Popular Bongo actress Elizabeth Lulu Michael has been sentenced to two years in prison over the death of Tanzanian actor Steven Kanumba.

The award-winning actress was accused of accidentally killing (manslaughter) Steven during an argument by pushing him violently where he fell and received a fatal blow to his head. She was 17 years old then and was arrested and taken into custody at Oysterbay Police Station before she was later charged with murder and remanded at a Tanzanian prison for seven months.

After her release, she managed to create a wonderful career in Tanzanian film & TV series and also as a brand ambassador and a reputable TV host. Lulu worked in series like Dira, Zizimo, Taswira and was recently announced as the Sinema Zetu brand ambassador by Azam TV.

Her popularity in film has not only earned her awards but also a horde of admirers such as Bahati who confessed that he would love to wife her.
