EXCLUSIVE: Jimmi Gathu appointed Musalia Mudavidi’s media point Man

Veteran Media Personality Jimmi Gathu has been appointed as the new Media Liaison officer for the Musalia Mudavadi Centre.

The former Citizen TV news anchor, has been handed the sole responsibility of organizing and handling all media relations which include, interviews and press engagements for Hon. Musalia Mudavadi.

“The aforementioned has been appointed the media Liaison officer for the Musali Mudavadi Centre with the sole responsibility of organizing and handling all media relations which include all interviews and press engagements for Hon. Musalia Mudavadi” reads part of a statement sent to media Houses.

 During Bob Collymore’s Memorial service, Mudavadi arrived in company of the KTN’s Ms President Host, who later updated his followers on Instagram saying “With my boss..#WorkFlow#bobcollymore memorial service #MunguNiMsoh”.

TV Career

Jimmi’s last hurrah on television was at K24 before he left in 2014 to join Nation FM as the host of the State of the Nation morning show.

Before K24, Jimmi launched Kenya’s first breakfast show ‘Power Breakfast’ alongside Kobi Kihara, marking the dawn of a new era in Kenyan TV.

Ms President

He also worked at Capital FM and also at KTN as a music show host where he hosted shows like Rap’Em, Kass Kass, Rastrut, Jam-a-Delic and Rythmix.

Currently, he hosts ‘Ms President’, a reality TV show that airs on KTN from 8-9 pm. The Ms President show that was born out of the need to groom women to be better leaders, kicked off with 71 contestants.

Own Media House

In 2018, Jimmi Gathu was given the green light to open and run his own TV station by Communication Authority of Kenya.
