Why Ezekiel Mutua is banning DJ Afro’s content from airing on TV

Ezekiel Mutua has banned DJ Afro’s content on TV and this is why he did it.

Years later, DJ Afro’s content has become ‘Too hot for TV’ and KFCB boss Ezekiel Mutua has pulled the plug on his content on Gikuyu TV for being ‘unpalatable’.

On Wednesday, Ezekiel met with DJ Afro and his manager where he plead guilty to the offence. KFCB then ordered the suspension of all unrated material on Gikuyu TV with immediate effect.

KFCB and DJ Afro later reached an agreement of having DJ Afro’s content submitted for examination and classification for age suitability.

Speaking on his meeting with the DJ, Ezekiel Mutua said “Today KFCB management met with the controversial James Muigai aka DJ Afro, his promoter and manager following our banning of his unpalatable content aired on Gikuyu TV and also distributed by unscrupulous business people and exhibited in public places without approval by the Board. DJ Afro admitted the illegality of his actions and took responsibility for the same while pointing out that the content being distributed and exhibited across the country is an illegal reproduction of his works done many years ago. It was agreed that the Board will communicate its position to the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government to have the culprits arrested and the illegal material destroyed and that Gikuyu TV will suspend forthwith the airing of unrated material. All content generated by DJ Afro will be submitted for examination and classification for age suitability.”
