KFCB Boss threatens to ‘ban’ a show he was invited to
The Kenya Film and Classification Board (KFCB), Chief Executive Officer Ezekiel Mutua has received a lot of hate on social media over his no-nonsense stance when it comes to regulating content on TV.
Something which he revealed on an episode of ‘The Wicked’ edition with Dr King’ori.
“We didn’t ban it (the Coca-Cola advert), we classified that advert and rated it PG and we actually approved it for air. But Kenyans actually appealed against our decision and appealed against our decision and said that the kissing scene wasn’t good” he disclosed.
Earlier on, he had jokingly threatened to ban the ‘Wicked Edition’ for using an ‘evil’ name
“We start by banning Wicked Edition, why not holy edition? Why do you like glorying evil? Change this title; this is the first thing I’m going to ban… Call it the holy edition and I’ll bring priests and other good people” he said jokingly.
