I am nervous as hell - Fareed Khimani speaks on his radio comeback

He described his comeback to Nation as nerve-wracking.

His comeback will hopefully see the revival of the station 2 years after it went under alongside QTV, QFM and KFM in Rwanda.

The hiring of Khimani is seen as Nation playing with the big boys of Nairobi breakfast shows that include Hot 96’s Jeff and Jalas, Alex Mwakideu and Otoyo on Radio Maisha and the OGs Maina and King’ang’i on Classic 105.

After making his debut Fareed described his comeback to Nation as nerve-wracking “Right, this is it, this is day one at the 96.3 studios man. I gotta say it’s crazy. It’s about to happen so make sure you listen in to 96.3. Fareed Khimani is back on the airwaves, today, every day, all week and I am nervous as hell,” The enigmatic presenter said.

Speaking to Business Today, Clifford Machoka the NMG Head of Corporate and Regulatory Affairs revealed that Khimani’s show’s audience is people aged from 18 to 30.

“It is a quick-witted humorous show hosted by the enigmatic Fareed Khimani that primarily focuses on music and entertainment. The target audience is ‘university – up’ i.e from 18 to 30 male or female who are tech-savvy. The show will air every weekday from 6 am to 9 am, helping you through your commute or your tasks at work,” He said.
