Quits Nation

Ochieng Rapuro’s appointment comes a few days after NMG announced his departure from the media house.

In a note to Nation Media editors, NMG Editorial Director Mutuma Mathiu confirmed that Rapuro had asked to leave the twin towers for a senior position at the Standard Group, five months after he was re-assigned to head The East African.

Though we are sad to lose such a strong editor, we are at the same time happy for him because this move represents career growth and new challenges,” read part Mathiu’s note
