Citizen TV poaches another top KTN News Anchor

She will reconnect with former colleagues;Yvonne Okwara and Joe Ageyo

Citizen TV has raided Mombasa Road based media House KTN one of its top News anchors Zindzi Kibiku.

According to a source who spoke to Pulselive.co.ke on condition of anonymity, Zindzi Kibiku will be joining the SK Macharia owned media house days after parting ways with KTN.

On January 31st, Ms Kibiku who used to host Morning Express alongside Mike Gitonga, announced her exit from KTN after a joining the media house in 2015. She joined the media house as an Intern and grew to the rank of a news anchor along the way..

“August 2015 I joined KTN News team as an intern. As infant as the station was with a goal to be the first 24/HR news network, so was my budding journalism career. They took a chance on me and allowed me to realize my dream while being myself. I meet so many of you amazing people. Thank you for your feedback, picking calls, showing up in studio and teaching me. Today, I say goodbye with a full heart,” Reads a tweet from the TV Girl.

Before the exit, Zindzi used to host another segment known as “What’s Trending” on East Africa’s first 24-hour news channel KTN News. The segment digs into online platforms sharing popular stories and hashtags that generate top trends in Kenya and around the world.

At Citizen TV, Kibiku will reconnect with former colleagues at KTN like; Yvonne Okwara, Joe Ageyo, Mwashirima Kapombe among others.
