Ian Oparanya son of Kakamenga Governor Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya has graduated with a first class honours degree in Economics from Bradford University, United Kingdom.
An excited Ian shared the good news via his Facebook page, expressing gratitude to God and family for walking with him throughout his academic journey.
"I’m a happy man today because God my Heavenly Father has blessed the work of my hand. I have made my Dad Wycliffe Oparanya and my mum Tabitha Ambetsa proud parents. I have made my family and friends proud. There are people out here on facebook who believe in me more than I even believe in myself. Thank you so much for your motivating comments and once again thank you God for this first-class honours. God is great!! Economist Ian Oparanya” wrote Ian.
Ian and Jeremy
His graduation comes days after that on former Machachari Actor Ian Munene and Jeremy Kiuna, son of Bishop Allan Kiuna and Reverend Kathy Kiuna.
Munene graduated from the University of Kent in the UK.
On the other hand, Jeremy Kiuna graduated from the New Manchester High School, in UK (May). Jeremy was accorded a standing ovation as he showed up on the podium to receive his certificate.
Jeremy, who was born with cerebral palsy and recently went under the knife so as to be able to walk, had the crowd cheer him on, with his family members unable to hide their Joy.
“My boy y’all. The graduation was too awesome. To see them give him a standing ovation brought all sorts of feelings. For a boy who was born at 6 months and could fit on the palm of my hand, to come this far by God’s grace? How can I have enough words to express my gratitude? Only God. Only God. Only God could do this. Gloooooory,” wrote Kathy Kiuna.
