Huddah thanks Government for banning shisha, makes unusual confession

Huddah was once an avid shisha smoker.

The petite socialite admitted that once upon a time she thought it was cool to pull on those stylized pipes but not anymore.

In fact, she went on to define shisha smoking as ‘ratchet’ (uncouth behaviour) and she was glad she dropped the habit. Something which is surprising as Huddah was known to enjoy her Shisha.

“I am glad they banned SHISHA in KENYA...Paved way for HUDDAH CIGARS... Gosh, we all looked ratchet as f*ck smoking this piece of shit! Sharing pipes with strangers, soo disgusting! We were killing ourselves thinking issss cool.” She wrote.

The shisha ban was put into effect last year by Health Cabinet Secretary Cleopa Mailu. According to Mailu, it was important to ban the sale and use of the flavoured tobacco for a few reasons.

Dr Mailu disclosed that shisha smoking had promoted peddling of illegal drugs in the country including heroin and cocaine.

The CS further noted that shisha smoking posed a health risk and attached a World Health Organization (WHO) report which indicates that shisha use has accelerated the spread of non-communicable diseases such as cancer, high blood pressure, stroke, heart attack and blockage of arteries, asthma and bronchitis.

Aside from the product, the equipment used in shisha smoking posed a risk of transmitting dangerous illnesses like Tuberculosis and Hepatitis .
