Close to 4 years after Avril and her South African fiancé Tinashe Leslie Mugadza (Muga) broke up, Avril has found love again.

The ‘Kitoko’ singer recently opened up about her relationship status in an interview with Mambo Mseto.

She disclosed that she is a taken lady. “I am taken,” she told Mzazi Willy Tuva during the interview.

Avril also opened up about her baby daddy who she described as a present dad.

“He is very dedicated and committed to M. He loves him a lot and is a beautiful thing, he has really dedicated himself to being M’s dad. He is a really present father,” She said.

She, however, expressed reluctance when it came to introducing her beau to the world. “We are not married nor are we living together. I will be so honest. I wanted so badly to have a child and I got into a relationship with someone who I was and still am very close with and we welcomed a child together. I feel so fulfilled being a mum it’s an amazing feeling. I will introduce my family when I want to but not now. I am learning to live a private life and people close to me know exactly what’s going on and I would like to keep it like that.”

Break up with Muga

A few years after going public with her relationship with Muga and getting engaged Avril and Muga called off their relationship in 2016 as Muga got distant after her father’s tragic passing.

“In 2016 a lot of things in my life changed, I lost my dad and at the same time the person I was supposed to be getting married to decide to bolt,” she said on Ebru TV.
