“I Can Sing was a trial. I joined because of the many auditions I went to, they looked number one, at my body. Mimi ni mnono So I joined I Can Sing to see if they are any different from other musical competitions in the country and I am happy to say that I was disappointed. In a good way, that I was accepted! They disappointed me, I was not expecting to be accepted, I was expecting to be rejected so that I would have evidence and say they are all the same, they don’t want talent they want models,” Mercy Opande told KTN.
In a Facebook post, the talented singer sent out this message to all those who believed in her and voted for her. “I have seen the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. People from all walks of life spent their time and money on me. What can I say but thank you so much. This is the ministry and I pray that God’s grace and wisdom reign through it all.
