I lost about Sh5 Million - Hopekid on the aftermath of threesome scandal with Nakuru lady

“The gospel world is full of hypocrites!” Hopekid said.

3 months after he was exposed for engaging in a threesome with DK Kwenye Beat and a fan, Hopekid has broken his silence on the matter.

The Shine singer has disclosed that he and DK were framed as DK and Xtian Dela (who broke out the story) had beef.

“I can tell it to you with a straight face that we were framed…Xtian has had beef with DK for the longest time, and this was his way of getting back,” Hopekid told Pulse Magazine.

He then confessed that the scandal not only cost him his reputation but money from shows and a lucrative deal with a fast food company that dropped him as soon as the scandal broke out.

“In estimation, I have lost about Sh5 million in shows and deals, but it is what it is. I was dropped by some fast food company when we were in the final stages of shooting a video. I have so many bills to pay, school fees and rent for my immediate family, but I guess people don’t think about that when they go ahead to create scandals for artistes,” he said.

In addition to financial losses, he claimed that his songs were banned from top radio stations and the gospel industry shunned him save for Timeless Noel who picked up his calls.

“The gospel world is full of hypocrites! I was chased from a church, a place that should have offered me support and comfort. Gospel artistes, except Timeless Noel, stopped picking my calls. In fact, I got more support from secular artistes,” Hopekid revealed.

HPV infection

News of the Devil’s threesome broke out after the lady now identified as a video vixen cried out for justice after she allegedly contracted HPV, a sexually transmitted infection.

The lady said that she had traveled from Nakuru for what she called a ‘holy smash’ with Hopekid and while they were engaging in coitus, DK joined in. In a separate incident with DK, the young lady allegedly contracted HPV, a sexually transmitted infection. Some strains of the disease can lead to cancer or genital warts.

In a bid to exonerate themselves, the two gospel artistes confessed their sins and asked for forgiveness on social media. While Hopekid took to his Instagram page to apologize, DK Kwenye Beat did an interview with Size 8 where he claimed that he is now a changed man.

About a month after his interview, he released song called ‘Sorry’ which was an apology for infecting the girl with the virus and his sorry-not-sorry video and audio that came after.
