A wedding that was the talk of the town due to how beautiful it was but as it turns out, there was more than meets the eye when it came to their traditional ceremony. This is because Kansiime also paid for her dowry as she revealed during an episode of their ‘Ann and Nana’ talk show.

Miss Kansiime disclosed that love made her pay her bride price.

“You know when you love someone, all you want to do is make them able to pay for you, able to afford you as far as dowry is concerned,”she confessed.

After paying part of her bride price, Anne realized that that wasn’t the way things should go. A man should take up his role and pay your bride price even if he has little.
“I accused someone of marrying me long enough for the whole world to believe it and him to believe it and I also believed it. Later was when I realized that when you are married, it is when a man wakes up on his two feet, pays your bride price marries you then takes you to church and then marries you; none of that had happened. I do not want to go into the details. I was married but you know how you end up paying some of it for yourself. It is sad, do not look at me like that, I am now an empowered woman,” she said.
“I am saying this for anyone at home who is in a situation that they cannot leave because of what people will think, or if you are nearly getting married but you are tempted to contribute to that dowry. You will feel the way I am feeling,” she added.

Breakup with Gerald Ojok

Gerald Ojok and Kansiime broke up in 2017, 4 years after their beautiful wedding. Kansiime delivered the sad news during a Q & A session with her fans.
“OJ and I are not together anymore. Reasons why are we are not for anyone else to know but the two of us, ” she wrote.
And when a fan questioned her split and called it a bad decision Anne replied with “How sure are you there was God in the union in the first place my ninja!? Let’s all respectful stay in our lane my brother.”

Despite her breakup, Anne maintains that she still believes she will have her happy ending.
