Speaking during the launch of her new song Nalia, Vera stated that she was a strong believer of second chances but if things didn't work out, it was a done deal.

“Otile Akirudi…inajua mmekuwa mkiachana na kurudiana ..so Mnarudiana  lini wewe na Otile” asked Jalang'o.

Vera responded saying “ Hakuna kurudi, the door is closed, I don’t want Otile again, it done , you see you can only give someone a second chance, lakini ikifika ni kama imekuwa mchezo inakuwa si vizuri hata mimi mwenye nitadhrauliwa, alafu hata mimi ,mwenyewe moyo ushakataa. Alafu unajua si mimi ndio nilitatisha mahusiono ni yeye baada ya kumwambia sina hela ya kumpatia ya kununua gari. Kisha mtu naye anafanya hivyo unajua tu nia yake ilikuwa hela".

She added that the intention of sharing her private chats with Otile was not to embarrass him, but was aimed at informing the public that they were no longer in a relationship.

“It was just meant to make things clear that we are no longer in a relationship and nikimove on ndo watu wasishangae kama namplay Otile,” added Vera.

In her new song, Queen Vee tells how she kept this man, gave him everything but still went out with other women and she now regrets the time she wasted.

She goes ahead to address Otile Brown’s claims that they broke up because she aborted his child saying that Otile was a liar.
