I'm very proud of my past - Sonko defends his bhang smoking past

Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko recently revealed that he used to share a roll of bhang with fellow Governor Waititu while they were still MPs.

He went on to divulge that the Kiambu Governor to this day enjoys a roll of bhang here and there. In an interview with JKL Waititu denied the claims and said he hadn’t tried any narcotics in his life.

While Waititu may have denied smoking bhang, Sonko remained largely unapologetic by saying that was his past and even great leaders like Obama have confessed to enjoying a puff or two.

His statement came in response to an article that claimed that the flamboyant politician was unfit to serve as Governor due to his past.
