Jaguar freed on 50,000 Kshs only after his Range Rover killed 2

About three weeks ago, March 21 to be specific, Sinfonia Mugo and Joseph Maingi lost their lives at Rukanga shopping centre along the Sagana-Makutano highway.

A woman was said to be behind the wheel but Jaguar insisted that he was the one on the wheel despite various eye witness reports begging to differ.

“Immediately the Range Rover hit the motorbike, there was a loud bang before the vehicle swerved off the road and later came to a halt. From the windscreen of the vehicle, I saw a lady on the wheel exchanging the seat with a man. After they did that, the man came out of the car from the right side while the lady did so from the left”. A worker repairing the road during the accident told The Nation.

As E Daily reports, this morning, Jaguar appeared before Principal Magistrate Evans Kiago at Baricho Law Courts in Kirinyaga County.

He was released on a bond of 100,000 Kshs or a cash bail of 50, 000 Khs, after pleading not guilty of reckless driving.

But he is not out of the woods yet as his case will be heard once again on 8 June 2017.
