Janet Mbugua and Eddie Ndichu dedicate their son to the Lord in style(Photos)

The Ndichus looked stunning

On Sunday, 5th August, the couple was joined by members of their extended families as they dedicated their son Huru to the Lord. Dedication ceremonies are mostly practised by some denominations such as the Christian Protestants and Jews. The ceremonies involve the child, family and the church congregation. A parent can choose to dedicate the child either soon after birth or later on when slightly older. When parents dedicate the child to the Lord, they commit themselves to raising their child in a godly manner and ask for God's blessings upon him/her . Dedications can be traced back to the Bible - when Hannah could not conceive, she prayed for a son and promised to dedicate him to the Lord should her wish be fulfilled. In addition, Mary and Joseph also took baby Jesus to the Temple for dedication.

A jubilant Janet took to her Instagram to share the news with her fans, posting:

"Huru is officially "

Baby Huru was looking dapper as ever on this special day, clad in a three piece suit and complemented his parents who were twinning in chic navy blue outfits.
