Nairobi Diaries’ director Janet Mwaluda loses fiancé

May his soul R.I.P.

Ian, who served as the Vice Chair of the USIU-Africa Alumni Association succumbed to his illness at the Nairobi Hospital on Tuesday at 9:45 pm after a few days at the hospital.

The heartbreaking news was conveyed by the USIU-Africa Alumni Executive Committee who posted “Dear fellow USIU-Africa Alumni, It is with deep sorrow that we wish to inform you that last evening at 9.45pm, we lost our Vice Chair, Ian Mukuria, who has been critically ill at Nairobi Hospital since Friday last week.

As the USIU-Africa Alumni Executive Committee, we wish to convey our deepest condolences to his fiancée Janet Mwaluda, all family, friends and colleagues.

As a team, we thank God for his life, his contribution, hard work, camaraderie, his warmth & generosity while serving on the Alumni Executive Committee.

Please remember his family in this time of loss. May the Lord God rest his soul in eternal peace.”

Vera Sidika joined her friend Mwaluda at her house for 6 hours on Thursday to condole with her.

“Why are the most beautiful souls always taken away from us? Anyway, God knows best. R.I.P Ian. Been at my pal’s Janet’s place for over 6 hours now and I still can’t believe Iain ain’t now more. I was so used to seeing them together everywhere. May his soul R.I.P. Sleep with the angels,” Read Vera’s message.
