Musician Kristoff loses close friend in Dusit Attack

He was a trained Journalist and a football guru

Kenyan Musician Kristoff is in Mourning after losing his close friend James Oduor Cobra aka Odu Cobra in the Dusit attack.

Kristoff shared the sad new via his Instagram account, disclosing that his childhood friend lost his life during the attack.

“Woke up to the saddest news ever,,Lost a very close childhood friend in yesterday's attack, this is so sad and hard to believe. Rest well with the Angels, my friend @odu_cobra..and Today is his birthday too,” reads Kristoff’s post on Instagram.

Doing a cross check on Odu Cobra’s social media pages, the late was a trained Journalist and a football guru who was running a YouTube channel called “Wadau TV” that discusses matters football.

Concerned

In an earlier Tweet, Cobra had tweeted asking those who were outside to update him on what was happening but unfortunately he did not make it out alive.

“Waaaah. What's happening at 14 Riverside fam? Any news from out there? “reads his last Tweet.

Citizen TV Journalist Mike Okinyi sent in his condolence message that reads “Go well Odu Cobra.....you tried your best to escape but they got you. We celebrate your birthday today knowing you are a hero. Wadau TV will live on," National Police Service statement.

The Managing Director of LG Electronics in Kenya, issued a statement following the tragic attack at the 14 Riverside office park that saw them lose one of their employees James Oduor Cobra aka Odu Cobra.

“Following the tragic attack at the 14 Riverside office park that, it is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of James Radido – lovingly known as Odu Cobra amongst his family, friends and colleagues at LG. On behalf of the LG family, we extend our deepest condolences to his loved ones and all who knew him. Over the last four years, James has had valuable impact among his colleagues at LG. Outside work, his great passion for Kenyan football saw him start the “Wadau TV”- an online show for football fans. During this difficult time, we extend all our support to his family as we mourn the loss of not just an incredible employee, but a truly inspiring and genuine human being.

On Tuesday, the National Police Service cautioned the public to avoid the 14 Riverside Drive as it was still a Crime Scene.

A statement shared on their official Twitter account, stated that the area is under active security and therefore anyone who is not actively involved in the operation should avoid the area.

“We wish to caution all members of the public including politicians that Dusit Hotel and the area around 14 Riverside Drive is a Crime Scene that is under an active security operation. Until it is declared safe, everyone not actively involved in the operation should avoid the area.” tweeted National police service.
