Kabogo rescued me – Julie Gichuru

It would have been another story and thank you Kabogo

Popular media personality Julie Gichuru, however, has brought to light details of the day former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo rescued her after a live television interview on Citizen TV.

Speaking during an interview with former Citizen TV anchor -Janet Mbugua - Julie recounted the day she almost fell on set but Kabogo caught her before she hit the ground.

"So Citizen, we’ve just had this tough interview with Kabogo in 2013. And I was seated the whole time with my legs crossed and I had not realized that I had pins and needles. So when I stood up at the end of the interview I literally fell.

"And Kabogo had the presence of mind to literally check if the cameras were on and grabbed me before I hit the ground big time," she said.

Julie remarked that the swiftness of Mr. Kabogo literally saved her from an embarrassment that could have been witnessed on live television.

"It would have been another story and thank you Kabogo for catching me," she said.

During the interview, Julie was hosting now Kiambu Deputy Governor James Nyoro and Mr Kabogo, who were both vying for the Governor seat at the time.
