Dreams come true!!

Kenya’s PR Maverick met Ferrari Formula 1 driver, Sebastian Vettel

It is every Formula 1 fan dream to meet top drivers, but on Friday this week, Patrick Githinji an F1 fan who works with Redhouse Group met Sebastian Vettel.

Githinji is attending Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku courtesy of Johnnie Walker; and is accompanied by 8 Kenyans who won Grand Prix prizes in the just concluded Experience Formula 1 with Johnnie Walker consumer promotion.

The winners are given a chance to choose the person who they would like to travel with and all the four winners chose their family members, which epitomizes Johnnie Walker mantra - family business that endured over 200 years.

The Johnnie Walker journey begins, funnily enough, with the man who gave our whisky his name back in 1820, in the small town of Kilmarnock.

Fast forward to 1920 and John Walker & Sons was celebrating its centenary and the brand is being sold in over 120 markets; signifying the success of a truly global brand. Since then Johnnie Walker has grown to become the world’s No.1 Scotch Whisky with the memorable tagline “Keep Walking” and will soon be celebrating its 200th anniversary in 2020.

Azerbaijan hosted its first Formula 1 Grand Prix back in 2016, and now 3 years on we are once again thrilled to see the streets of Baku come alive for a festival of racing. Across the race weekend 26 – 28 April our capital will welcome thousands of tourists and F1 fans for the amazing spectacle that will be the FORMULA 1 2019 AZERBAIJAN GRAND PRIX. As the Official Whisky of Formula 1, Johnnie Walker will be at the heart of the action to help consumers enjoy an amazing weekend of racing.
