Anerlisa has been attacked by a section of Kenyans

Over the weekend Ms Muigai had shared a post on social media stating that “ObesityIsAchoice”, hence eliciting a wild reaction, with many reminding her where she has come from.

“If some of y'all would run as fast as you ran your mouths, I am sure by the end of the year, you could be smaller than me. ” wrote Anerlisa Muigai

Her post seems to have been directed at people who were spreading wrong information about her life, but it ended up rubbing Kenyans in the wrong way.

Many who let comments under her post, opted to reminder that that not everyone suffering from Obesity “Is their Choice”.

Offended users

"I saw my sister grow from 40kgs to 80kgs because of an illness yet someone says obesity is a choice!!!!

"Wow!  not for everyone at least. Maybe just for you baby girl. I know what those who struggle with weight loss go through, they don't need this, they need encouragement, solid. Unless you didn't go through the struggles then you'd talk like that. But really, who hurt you?? It'd be better to deal with them straight up than lash out on everyone, even those who have been looking up to you. Dissapointed

"obesity is a choice..well it seems you have taste. Atleast for the last 3 decades you chose wisely"

Following the reactions by Kenyans Anerlisa opted to ask for forgviness from all those her post offended.

“I wanted to take a moment and apologise for what I posted yesterday. That post was directed at someone most of you know. I am fully responsible for what I post and it's unfortunate that it got out of hand and offended so many people.  At no given time would I ever disrespect or ridicule people struggling with weight loss as I have been there myself. Trust me, I know just how hard it is. The hashtag was referring to those who have the full capacity to work out and eat right but choose not to. I am fully aware that some people suffer from certain conditions that make it hard to lose weight. Please find a place in your heart to forgive me. I did not mean to offend anyone. Have a blessed week ahead.” shared Anerlisa Muigai
