Jubilee Governor’s daughter ties the knot in lavish wedding

A Jubilee Governor’s daughter was on Saturday walked down the aisle by the love of her life in a lavish wedding that was held at the Ngong Racecourse, Nairobi.

Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi’s daughter Makena Murungi tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend James Bukusi in an invites only event that was attended by high profile government officials and politicians.

Those in attendance were President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto and a host of senators, MPs and leaders who are friends of the Murungi family.

The President said in his speech that Kenya will become more cohesive, secure and prosperous when Kenyans start accepting one another without using tribe or religion as a guide to how they should live their lives and who they should marry.

“We celebrate the coming together of our people. This generation is doing a tremendous things because they do not see barriers amongst them. They see the person they went to school with and the person they work with. That is whom they respect. That is who they fall in love with and marry,” said President Uhuru Kenyatta.
