In a tweet on Tuesday, an excited Larry broke the news of his admission into the prestigious University, stating that he was very much honoured to have been given the opportunity.
“I’m honoured to have been accepted into the fellowship at . I have no words right now, just gratitude,” he wrote on Twitter.
Mr Madowo has been admitted to the prestigious university as a Knight-Bagehot Fellow in the class of 2019-2020.
Bagehot Fellowship
The Knight-Bagehot Fellowship is the only global mid-career journalism program devoted to business, economics, finance, and tech journalism and is undertaken at the Columbia Journalism School.
Larry Madowo is among ten fellows who have been selected to take part in the Journalism program that brings together top journalists in business and technology.

This comes barely a year after Larry Madowo joined the BBC after working for Nation Media Group’s NTV for a number of years.
At NTV, Madowo worked as a news anchor and host to Friday night show The Trend.
