Larry Madowo reveals interesting details about NTV's Jane Gatwiri

The journalist was slapped when she was caught recording the ejection of Citizen TV's Francis Gachuri.

The hoodlums who roughed up the journalists accused stations like Citizen TV, NTV and KBC of colluding with the Jubilee government to rig the election.

Francis Gachuri was the first to be roughed up and thrown out of the venue and when NTV’s Jane Gatwiri was seen filming the incident she was slapped causing other journalists to storm out in protest.

Since he is always at the front of the camera Francis Gachuri’s CV is clear for everybody to see but Larry Madowo recently gave us interesting details about Jane Gatwiri the second victim.

Larry described Jane as one of the best in a male-dominated field.

“Jane Gatwiri is one of the best we’ve got in a male-dominated camera field. She spent all day at Bomas with me yesterday & was great as always.” Larry praised Jane.

And it’s clear to see why Larry Madowo speaks so highly of the petite photojournalist.

Jane has been a Cameraperson/ Photojournalist/ Video Editor at Nation Media Group for close to six years and she covered the Elections and is also the videographer for NTV's wildly-successful show #NTVWILD.

The Kenya Institute of Mass Communication-trained student previously worked at the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation as an Intern for 3 months.
