Former Capital FM presenter Laura Walubengo hospitalized

Former Capital FM Presenter Laura Walubengo has been hospitalized, a few months after she quit the Chris Kirubi owned radio station.

In a post she shared on her Instagram, Ms. Walubengo, who was in a hospital bed disclosed that she had undergone a successful surgery, but did not give details of what she was suffering from.

She went ahead to thank her followers for their prayers adding that she was now recuperating.

"Thanks for your prayers guys. The surgery went well. No complications. And the room I’m recovering in has a chandelier I’m finding that so funny #HappyThursday," she said in her post.

This comes barely three months after she quit Capital FM where she worked as a news anchor and head of Capital Digital Media.

Laura Walubengo worked at Capital as a presenter before she left for South African firm MultiChoice in 2014, where she secured a job as the Lead Digital Communications Specialist East Africa for DStv based in Kenya before she returned to Capital in 2017.

She currently works for China Global Television Network (CGTN)
