Kenyan famous guy “Githeri man” got his three minutes of fame after featuring on a French TV.

The TV presenters spend three minutes highlighting the moment's Githeri man had been used to calm down tension during the August 8 General election.

The man Martin Kamotho aka Githeri is now a darling to many after standing out during the general elections period.

France 24, a 24-hour international news channel based in Paris, also pointed out on how Kenyans On Twitter were creating memes to have Githeri Man in their in their company.

Since becoming an overnight celebrity Kamotho has received a lot of goodies from different Companies.

During an interview on CitizenTV, Kimotho revealed that it was his aunt who showed him his pictures that had gone viral on Facebook since he did not own a smart phone.

Safaricom rewarded Githeri Man when they presented him with two Samsung S8 phones; one for him and another for his wife while also gifting his daughter with a Tecno Camon smart phone as well as airtime all worth over Sh200,000.
