How Wizkid and South Africa’s Cassper Nyovest were fraudulently feted with MTV awards ought to have been won by Ali Kiba and Eddy Kenzo
Wizkid has been stripped of his MTV award which was rightfully won by Ali Kiba. But Cassper Nyovest is yet to surrender his.

The first person to raise a red flag was Uganda’s Eddy Kenzo who claimed he won Best Live Act but instead South Africa’s Cassper Nyovest was handed the award.
Kenzo claimed despite being the most voted in Best Live Act category, he was denied the award because he’s Airtel brand ambassador in Uganda and Cassper Nyovest is MTN’s ambassador in South Africa; MTN was the main sponsor for MAMAs 2016.

After Kenzo’s claims, Ali Kiba also complained he had been denied MTV award he rightfully won, and he was lucky Wizkid was stripped of the award which was then handed to him.
Ali Kiba’s win has motivated Eddy Kenzo’s fans to launch online petition to have Cassper Nyovest surrender the MTV award.
“Congratulations Team ALIKIBA for your well deserved Award. in Uganda we got issues they were even happy. But me and my team we celebrated that win because we won even though they honored another person. keep the spirit Tanzania will always go higher I'm happy for you guys.” Eddy Kenzo congratulated Ali Kiba after MTV stripped Wizkid of the award he won.
