WCB’s Mbosso reveals why Yamoto Band was scraped off

Yamoto Band no longer exists

The singer who had accompanied Diamond Platnumz to Kenya for his album launch disclosed that the boy band he belonged to was disbanded because they were not making enough money.

“First I would like to say it was the income. The money we made use to be split among many people and it wasn’t enough, so everyone decided to do music on his own. There is no other problem because we keep in touch and even meet,” he said.

The same was echoed by his WCB boss Diamond Platnumz’s manager Babu Tale who said that it is hard for musicians in Tanzania to make money as a group and that is why it was wise for the boys to go solo.

Mbosso went ahead and said that it has been a tough journey working alone adding that the boy band will not be coming back again but maybe in future they would do collabos together.

Mbosso was unveiled in February this year by the WCB family when he released his first song.
