Afro pop singer Muthoni drummer queen has ranted at Kenyan media after her interview was abruptly cancelled.
Apparently two of her interviews were called off by certain media houses the past week and it was done ‘unprofessionally’. She expressed rage and disappointment through her social media.
The ‘Criminal’ hit maker did not reveal the two media organizations but she stated that the reason why the interviews failed were the presenter had not talked to the producer and for the other station the squad to accompany Muthoni was too large.
The singer launched her album dubbed ‘She’ at the Alchemist bar on Friday. The event that was a success had a huge turnout.
Two international artists had their concerts held on the same weekend; Kranium and Mr Eazi. Muthoni expressed displeasure and pointed out that the media at times fails to give local talent the much needed focus but when an International artist checks in in the country they never fail to notify their producers of an upcoming interview.
She talked about the challenges she went through while trying to promote her songs through some media houses.

We combined her social media statuses. They read;
“To be Kenyan and to deal with the media is extreme sports. This morning both our interviews are cancelled.
The 1st one the presenter dint bother to book us in. The second one the producers says me plus my assistant, publicist are too many people
Such ‘madharau’ for us. I bet they won’t ‘forget’ to schedule in Mr Eazi or Rick Ross or complain that they would move in with their respective teams. Such disregard for our time. Just people out here being mediocre and making this our problem.
Imagine they have cancelled when we are literally on the way. Like 5 minutes ago. Nonsense!”
