Bridget Achieng recently threw a gold-and-red-themed baby shower at the 215 Karen Garden Home Stay in Karen, Nairobi.

The Nairobi Diaries’ cast member is expecting her child on 29th January and her event was graced by close family, friends and even her boss Janet Mwaluda.

Bridget disclosed that she is expecting a baby boy named ‘Sekani’, a name that means ‘laughter/laughs’.

“Sekani’s BABY SHOWER was bringing in all types of feelings. Thanks to all the friends and FAMILY that made it possible for me to enjoy this day,” she wrote before going on to add “My sweet mama,..aunties @catherineatieno my siz @_love_glow my sweet pal...Thanks for the surprise and making this day amazing ...I'm HUMBLED.”

Bridget is not the only Nairobi Dairies past/present cast member who was pregnant this year, former cast members Risper Faith and Michelle gave birth this year.

In a post she shared on her Instagram page, Ms Achieng wrote that she prayed to have the child and God answered her prayer.

She went ahead and said that she was thirteen weeks pregnant and she would be due next year, as she thanked her friends and family members for the support they have accorded her.

“For this child, I prayed and the Lord has given me my petition that which I asked of him" (1st Samuel 1:27). To my babies Godmother Thanks for making sure I don't miss a doctor's appointment. To all my friends and family thanks for the support and prayers. All through GOD bless you,” She wrote on her Instagram page.
