Kenyans on Saturday took to social media to react to news that Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiaguru is off the market after getting engaged to the live of her life Kamotho Waiganjo with the hash tag #WaiguruWeddingBells trending.

Typical of netizens, it was a mixture of humour, sound advice and confession of feelings as the online community took to the social media to share their reactions to the news.

“I the Secretary to the men's conference wish Waiganjo all the best as he marries Anne Waiguru #WaiguruWeddingBells.

Wachira Jackson‏ @king_Jaqson held that it is possible to handle so much as an individual and still have a family, urging those who blame it on work to learn from the Waiganjo and Waiguru experience.

“Career and marriage, stop your excuses. @AnneWaiguru proves modern classic women wrong”.

Other netizens used the experience to inspire hope that despite advancing in age, there is still hope for single people to settle down and get married.
