Vote vote to decide the best matatus in Kenya
The third edition of Nganya Awards is finally here! Saying we’ve really waited for this most celebrated event with our breaths held is an understatement!
Matatus fill the streets of Nairobi, with blaring music, admirable graffiti-style artwork and rowdiness as they weave through traffic. We may complain everyday about matatus, but we must give credit where it is due -matatu’s in Nairobi are pimped! According to a recent CNN article that featured Kenyan matatus, customization of a new vehicle can cost upwards of $20,000 that’s Ksh 2,032,840.
The initiative is a twofold event: entailing a motor show, which showcases unique Kenyan Matatu culture while promoting road safety on Kenya roads, and an award ceremony that entails the public selected PSVs to be awarded.
