A section of Ngong Road to be closed for 2 weeks

Motorists will be barred from using the roads for two weeks

The Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) has announced the closure of Kingara Road and Ngong Road Junction for two weeks to accommodate the ongoing expansion of Ngong Road Phase II.

In a public notice issued on Thursday, KURA mentioned that the said Roads will remain closed as from Monday 16th March, 2020 till Saturday 28th March, 2020.

"We wish to notify members of the public Kingara Road/Ngong Road junction will be closed as from Monday 16th March, 2020 till Saturday 28th March, 2020 (Two weeks) both days inclusive. This is to allow improvement of Ngong Road Phase II,” reads the notice.

Alternative roads

The authority further urged the public to avoid the said roads and use alternative roads.

“Motorists are advised to use the alternative routes as indicated in the sketch Map above and as directed by traffic Marshals. We apologize for the inconveniences that may be caused as we endeavor to provide efficient urban road network” reads the notice for KURA.
