Ommy Dimpoz speaks out for the first time after death rumours went viral

Tanzanian Singer Ommy Dimpoz has addressed death rumours that had been levied upon at a time he was undergoing treatment abroad.

Over the weekend the Wanjera Hit maker made first public appearance while in company of Radio Personality Willy M Tuva and other stars while on transit to Tanzania.

Upon touching in Tanzania, Ommy had an interview with Millard Ayo, where he mentioned that in life you can’t stop people from talking or spreading any kind of rumours about your life especially when you are a star.

He added that, at a particular time everybody will die and during his “sickness” period he has learned how to deal with any negativity directed his way.

“Sometimes utaskia uzushi huu, mara huu, Kwa hivyo unashukuru tu lakini kile watu wanasahau ni kuwa duniani sisi wote tunapita tu, kila mtu atakufa tu, kwa hiyo hata ukisema mimi nimekufa, mwisho wa siku nitakufa tu” said Ommy Dimpoz.

Earlier on a section of Online users in Tanzania had alleged that the singer had a passed on, while undergoing treatment in Germany.

First public appearance

On January 22, Ommy Dimpoz has made his first public appearance, after he was discharged from a hospital in Germany where he was undergoing specialized treatment.

Ommy Dimpoz’s father Mzee Nyembo was the first to reveal that his son was undergoing specialized treatment in the European country and also details of his return to Kenya, where he has been recuperating in Mombasa, under Governor Hassan Joho’s care.

For about a year now, Ommy has been in and out of Hospital, hence his music career being affected a lot.
