I wish she was here - Otile Brown gets emotional as he remembers late mum

Appreciate and love your mama - Otile.

His previous hit ‘Chaguo la Moyo’ garnered around 4.6 Million views in 3 months and his ‘Wembe’ song with Timmy Tdat has about 1.2 Million views.

And while he is revelling in his success, Otile who lost his mum at the tender age of 12 disclosed that he wished his mum could see him now.

The last born in a family of seven was listening to ‘A Song for Mama’ by Boyz II Men when he got emotional. Misty-eyed, Otile advised his fans to treasure their mums.

“Appreciate and love your mama…feeling kinda emotional tonight. Wish she could be here so I can spoil her,” He posted.

Following his parent’s death about a decade ago, Otile dropped out of school & sold chang’aa to survive. His struggle is the reason why he goes hard on his craft.

“My mom died when I was about to turn 13. I don’t like talking about it but I don’t shy away from speaking about it because I know it could motivate someone. Sometimes when I would get caught, the officers would frog march me past the school compound where other children would see me. It was embarrassing. I didn’t like doing it but I had to survive,” He confessed to The Nation.
