Awinja's baby lands her two lucrative jobs
Mtoto ni baraka…
"I got pregnant last year at the end of September and as much as it is something we both wanted, when I got tested and confirmed that I was actually having a baby, I cried as I wasn't sure how things would turn out. I got worried that this would affect my career especially due to the timing which was during the time when we get many jobs as entertainers.” Awinja disclosed in an interview with Pulse Magazine.
And unfortunately, her fears that her pregnancy might affect her career came true as she lost some potential jobs
She may have lost out on a number of projects for being pregnant which can be very discouraging, but Awinja has learnt that pregnancy has its blessings. This was after she penned a deal with Uber and also Vivo Active for their maternity line.
Awinja joins the increasing number of celebrities picked to work with the brand. Other celebrities who have worked with Vivo include Pierra Makena for her maternity wear, Grace Msalame and Patricia Kihoro and her mum.
